Summary:  

The Quote Template feature allows you to create a small library of specific items that can be quickly selected from dropdown menus for easy quote creation. This will allow you to set up a list of quote items and inventory items that can be used as a standard when creating a quote. When adding items and inventory, you can select whether quotes using this template will grab the latest pricing or you can set the pricing in the template to fix it for the specific template. 


How to activate this feature?

To activate this feature you would have to login to your ServiceBox site > Go to the settings page>Plan> Features> Quote/Invoice Features>Check off 'Quote Templates'


How to create Quote Template? 

Once you have activated this feature in settings> Go to Quotes Tab(on the settings page itself) > Quotes Templates> Click On Add Template.  


Type in the Template Name

Check the box "Default Template" if you would like to make this your default template

Click on "OK"


Click on Edit Button



Add required information in this template and check it in by clicking on the green checkmark

Description: Add items




Latest: Tick the box for each line item if you desire the system to seek the latest price set under the Inventory tab and apply it to the Quote.

Quantity: Input Quantity.

Save the item by clicking on the green checkmark icon.




To avoid utilizing the most recent price, refrain from selecting the "Latest" checkbox.

Complete necessary details (Description and Quantity are compulsory fields).

If the Sales Price field is left empty, the sales price will appear as $0 upon retrieving this Quote template. You can modify this line item within the quote.

Save the item by clicking on the green checkmark icon.




How to use Quote Template? 

Click on "New"

Select "Quote"



Select Template from the drop down list

Add "Bill to" information

Click on Save




Navigate to the "Calculator" tab.

You'll find that the Inventory from the template has been prefilled for you. Additionally, you'll observe that for Inventory item 1002, the "Latest" checkbox was selected.

For Inventory item 1001, the "Latest" checkbox was not selected, and the sales price was left blank within the template (refer to the screenshot above).

You can add or modify information (by clicking on the edit button) and then save the quote.
