Introduction

Recently, Sage 50 announced an update mandating 2-factor authentication, sparking worries about its potential impact on integration with the ServiceBox Accounting Connector. This article aims to provide clarity on the implications of this update.

Understanding the Update:

Firstly, let's talk about what the Sage update is all about. Some of our customers were concerned that the update might cause problems for their everyday accounting tasks.  it's crucial to recognize that this particular Sage update won't impact your accounting operations because it's related to Sage's cloud services, not the Windows application you use on your computer.

However, it's worth noting that integrating with Sage can be challenging, and unfortunately, we often don't receive advance notice of these changes or the opportunity to test them.

In the eventuality of an update affecting the Windows application, it typically involves the installation of a new Sage version. In such a scenario, we would need to conduct upgrades, testing, and subsequent release of our connector program prior to your Sage upgrade. This meticulous process ensures our ability to promptly address any necessary adjustments on your end in response to evolving changes.
