ServiceBox has introduced a new feature allowing users to auto-generate account numbers for customers, based on a preset starting number. Here's a detailed explanation of how this feature works and how you can enable it.

Feature Overview:

1. Auto-Generation of Account Numbers:

The system will auto-generate a unique account number for each new customer when the feature is enabled. The

next account number is determined based on the settings configured under your customer form settings. The

number is auto-incremented and displayed in the "Account Number" field within the customer form.

2. Display Options for Account Numbers:

In addition to auto-generating account numbers, users also have the option to display the account number on:

   - Quotes

   - Work Orders

   - Invoices

This allows for easy reference of the customer’s account number across various documents, and it can be printed

   on these documents if needed.

 How to Enable the Feature:

1. Contact Support:

To enable the auto-generate account number feature, reach out to the ServiceBox support team. They can activate

   the feature for your account.

2. Configuring the Settings:

Once the feature is activated, follow these steps to configure it:

   - Navigate to Settings in your ServiceBox account.

   - Under Customer, select Settings.

   - In the settings, check the option to "Automatically Set Customer Account Number."

   - Enter the next account number to be auto-generated for new customers.

3. Activating the Display and Print Option:

If you'd like the account number to be displayed or printed on quotes, work orders, or invoices:

   - Ensure the relevant setting is checked in that same settings section.

   - If this option is not available, reach out to the ServiceBox support team to activate the feature.
